Functional Wardrobe Support (NDIS)
SVED provides personalised Functional Wardrobe Support for eligible NDIS participants, helping reduce wardrobe overwhelm and support everyday dressing, independence and daily living.
Functional Wardrobe Support (NDIS)
SVED is now offering a limited number of Functional Wardrobe Support sessions for NDIS participants.
This new service has been developed in response to growing demand from participants, support coordinators and allied health professionals seeking practical, in-home support with one of everyday life's most important routines: getting dressed.
For many people, the challenge is not buying more clothes. It is managing a wardrobe that no longer supports their current needs, body, lifestyle, sensory preferences or capacity. The result can be daily overwhelm, decision fatigue and unnecessary barriers to independence.
Support is tailored to your individual goals and may include:
• reducing wardrobe overwhelm and visual clutter
• organising clothing to improve accessibility and independence
• identifying clothes that fit, feel comfortable and are appropriate for everyday life
• sorting clothing to keep, donate or sell
• creating simple, repeatable outfit options and daily dressing routines
• reducing decision fatigue and supporting executive functioning
• identifying practical wardrobe gaps
• shopping support to source functional clothing and footwear
• shopping on your behalf where appropriate and agreed in advance
• integrating new clothing into your existing wardrobe
• creating practical wardrobe systems that are easier to maintain over time
• support during periods of change, reduced capacity or major life transitions
Sessions are collaborative, paced to suit your energy levels and designed around your individual goals, preferences and support needs. The focus is on creating practical wardrobe systems that improve everyday functioning, confidence and independence, while making everyday life easier to navigate.
Unlike general household assistance, SVED combines functional wardrobe organisation with professional expertise in clothing, fit, comfort, behaviour change and personal styling to create wardrobe systems that continue to support participants long after the session has finished.
SVED specialises in Functional Wardrobe Support, focusing on clothing, wardrobes and daily dressing. If you require assistance with personal care, transfers, mobility, manual handling or other disability-related supports during a session, we welcome the involvement of your existing support worker, family member or carer so we can work together safely and effectively.
As this is a new service, referrals and enquiries are currently welcomed on an individual basis to discuss whether Functional Wardrobe Support with SVED is the right fit for your circumstances and NDIS goals.
