1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or booking a service with SVED, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These exist to ensure clarity, trust, and mutual accountability for both parties.
2. Services
SVED provides personal styling and wardrobe consulting services, including:
• Wardrobe Reset
• Personal Shopping
• Style Consultations
• Event Styling
• Multi-Session Packages
Service descriptions and pricing are listed on the Appointments page. All services are clearly outlined at the time of booking. Additional services may be added at extra cost, subject to availability. SVED reserves the right to update or modify service offerings at any time.
3. Booking & Payment
• Bookings are made via the website using Acuity Scheduling, with payment processed securely through Stripe.
• A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your session.
• The remaining 50% will be charged automatically 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment via Stripe.
• Prices are listed in AUD and include GST, unless otherwise stated.
• If payment fails or is not completed in time, the booking may be cancelled.
3.1 Additional Charges
Travel Policy
Travel time is based on the estimated maximum door-to-door travel duration on Google Maps for your specific appointment time and day. For example, if your booking begins at 10:00am on a Friday, I will use Google Maps to check the estimated travel time from my home in Melbourne’s inner north to your location, based on arriving by 10:00am that day.
I include up to 1 hour of travel time each way (door to door) at no additional cost. Any travel time beyond 61 minutes will be charged in 15-minute increments at $25 per 15 minutes, calculated for both the journey to and from your location.
You will not be charged for unexpected delays such as traffic on the day. Additional travel charges will only apply if the estimated Google Maps time exceeds 61 minutes and that estimated time is actually taken.
If you’re unsure whether travel fees will apply, feel free to check in before booking.
Any applicable travel charges will be invoiced after your session and must be paid within 3 business days.
4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
• You may reschedule your session with 48 hours' notice, subject to availability.
• Rescheduling within 48–24 hours of your appointment may be accommodated at SVED’s discretion, subject to availability.
• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
• Missed appointments without notice are charged in full.
• Refunds are not available once a session has commenced.
5. Health & Safety
• While styling can be a deeply personal and emotional experience, SVED is not a mental health service. Clients are encouraged to seek professional support if needed.
• Do not attend in-person appointments if you are unwell or contagious (e.g., cold, flu, COVID-19). Please endeavor to reschedule your session as soon as practicable.
• SVED reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a session due to illness or safety concerns.
• Clients under 18 must have a parent or guardian present during in-person sessions.
6. Client Responsibilities
• Clients are responsible for arriving on time and providing accurate information.
• Home environments for in-person appointments must be safe and accessible.
• If the client is late, the session may be shortened to maintain the schedule.
• SVED reserves the right to refuse or terminate a session due to inappropriate behaviour, unsafe environments, or breach of these terms.
7. Styling Outcomes & Liability
• Styling results are subjective. SVED does not guarantee outcomes.
• Clients are responsible for any decisions made during or after a session, including purchases.
• Clients accept responsibility for maintaining their personal items and environment during sessions.
• SVED is not liable for dissatisfaction, wardrobe choices, or any incidental damage to garments, furnishings, or personal belongings during a session.
• This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Gift Cards & Discount Codes
• Gift cards and discount codes must be applied at the time of booking.
• They are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be applied retroactively.
• Offers may be withdrawn or changed at SVED’s discretion.
9. Photos & Consent
• SVED may request to take photos during a session for marketing or portfolio purposes.
• Photos may be used for marketing purposes including but not limited to social media, website, and printed materials, only with the client’s verbal or written consent.
• Consent may be withdrawn at any time in writing.
10. Intellectual Property
• All materials shared by SVED, including style guides, templates, and written content, are for personal use only.
• Clients may not reproduce, publish, or distribute any content without written permission.
• All website content is the intellectual property of SVED or used with permission.
11. Privacy
• All client information and discussions remain confidential.
• Personal data is collected for the purpose of delivering services and communicating with clients.
• Information collected includes name, contact details, style preferences, booking history, and (with consent) testimonials or photos.
• Data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
• SVED does not sell or share personal data except as required by law or to deliver services.
• Website usage data may be collected by Squarespace. See Squarespace’s Privacy Policy for more.
• Clients may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data by emailing anna@sved.com.au.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with those laws.
13. Updates to Terms
SVED may update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply.
